What is Bolus
What is Bolus?
Bolus is a food app for adults living with diabetes or pre-diabetes. It plans your meals a week at a time and gives you a shopping list to match, so you spend less energy deciding what to eat.
What it does
- Plans your week. You get seven days of breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, built around how you like to eat. You do not plan any of it yourself.
- Sorts your shopping. Each week comes with a shopping list, grouped by aisle and sized into sensible amounts.
- Learns as you go. You tell Bolus what worked in a short weekly review, and the next week is shaped by the last.
The idea behind it
Deciding what to eat, day after day, is the part that wears people down. Bolus handles it a week at a time and improves on its own, so there is less to think about when you are tired or busy. To see how the week fits together, read how Bolus works: the weekly loop.
The basics
- It is a free iPhone app. There is nothing to apply for. See download Bolus.
- You can connect a glucose monitor if you use one, but you do not have to. See Your CGM.
- Bolus is not a medical device and gives no dosing advice. It helps with food, alongside the care you already have. See what Bolus does and does not do.
