What Emily is
Emily is the last tab in Bolus. She is an AI coach you can talk to in plain English, any hour, about the week’s food, how meals land on your glucose, and your weight.

What she is for
Emily is there for the questions that do not have a button: why a meal was planned, what to do about a night that has gone sideways, how to handle a takeaway, what to eat before an early start, why Thursday keeps falling over.
She knows your plan. She can see the meals in your week, what you have marked as eaten, your food preferences and your household setup, so you do not have to explain your situation every time. See what Emily knows about you.
She works in next steps
Emily’s job is to help you choose one realistic next step, then check back on how it went. She can hold an agreement: something you have decided to try, in your own words, that she keeps hold of and follows up on. You can settle one at any point by saying so.
She can do things, not just answer
Replies often come with tappable pills underneath. Those either continue the conversation, take you to the right screen, or make the change for you. See what Emily can do for you.
She is an AI, and says so
Emily is an AI coach, not a person. The header says “Your AI coach” under her name, and she says it herself when she introduces herself. She is good at the food side and at turning a vague problem into a concrete change to your week. She is not a dietitian, and she is not your care team.
If you want a real person, the team is reachable on WhatsApp and by email. See get in touch with us.
Emily will not help with insulin doses, and that is deliberate. See what Emily will not do.
She is part of Premium
Emily is part of Bolus Premium. On the free tier her tab introduces her and offers the upgrade, and everything else, your plans, shopping and swaps, carries on exactly as normal.

If a subscription lapses, your conversation is not deleted: it is saved, and she picks it up where you left off if you come back. See what is free and what is Premium.
If she does not answer
If Emily cannot reach her service she says so in the thread, in as many words, and asks you to try again shortly. Nothing you typed is lost.
