How your plans are shaped
How your plans are shaped
Four settings under Planning decide the shape of every week Bolus builds.
Household size
How many people you are cooking for. It sets the servings each recipe makes and the quantities on your shopping list. See change portion and household size.
Portion size
How large one serving is, relative to standard. Regular (1.0×) is the default; turn it up or down if the plates are consistently wrong.
Plan variety
How much your meals repeat across a week. Lower variety means fewer distinct recipes, a shorter shopping list and less to think about. Higher variety means more different meals and a longer shop.
If you find breakfast repetitive, this is the setting to change, not a swap you have to make every week.
Default meal times
The times you normally eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. These decide which meal Today calls your next one, and they let Bolus line meals up with your glucose if your CGM is connected.
When changes take effect
Household size and portion size re-scale your current plan and shopping list straight away. Variety and meal times mainly shape the next plan Bolus builds, since your current week is already made.
Anything you have already marked as bought stays marked when quantities change.
