How your data is handled

What data Bolus collects

This is a plain summary of what Bolus holds. The full, authoritative detail is in the Privacy Notice.

What Bolus holds

  • Your account: the email tied to your Apple sign-in, your name, and your mobile number.
  • Your preferences: how you like to eat, diet and allergens, portions, household size, meal times, and cooking effort.
  • Optional health details: things like your diabetes type, and other profile details you choose to give during setup.
  • Your weeks: your plans, shopping lists, and what you did with each meal.
  • Glucose readings: only if you connect a CGM. See your health and glucose data.

What Bolus does not collect

  • No payment details. Bolus is free and does not take payment, so there is nothing of that kind to store.
  • No food diary or calorie logging. You mark meals as eaten, skipped, or eaten out, and that is all.
  • No browsing, location, contacts, photos, or microphone. The app only asks for two things on your device: Apple Health for blood glucose, and notifications.

Why it is collected

Everything above is used to build your weeks, keep your shopping in step, and show you your own information back. To see who, if anyone, it is shared with, read where your data is stored and who can see it.
