What a week looks like in Bolus
Your week is seven days of breakfasts, lunches and dinners, put together for you, with a shopping list to match. The Food tab is where you see all of it at once.

The two segments
The Food tab has a switch at the top:
- Plan is your week of meals, the subject of this page.
- Shopping list is what to buy for it, with a count of what is left. See how your shopping list works.
This week, then next week
Plan scrolls straight from this week into next week behind a Next week divider, so it is one continuous list rather than two tabs. A floating Next week button jumps you down to it, and turns into Today or This week to bring you back.
Next week only exists once you have done your weekly review and created it. Until then the divider says so. See when your next week arrives.
Reading a day
Each day is a card headed with the day and date, holding its meals in order. Every row shows:
- The meal name, with a photo where there is one.
- The meal type, the effort badge and the time it takes, for example “Dinner · Tight · 20 min”.
- Its status, once there is one: Ate, Skipped, Ate out, or an Eating out badge for a night you have already told Bolus about.
- A missing-ingredients flag, if you have not ticked off what it needs.
Tap any row to open the meal: ingredients, method, and nutrition per serving.
The banner at the top
If you are short of anything for the next couple of days, a banner counts what is missing and offers See what needs buying, which takes you to the Shopping list segment. See when you are short of ingredients.
Nothing here is fixed
Every week is a starting point. You can swap a meal, change your portion or household size, or tell Bolus you are eating out or skipping. It all feeds into how the next week is built.
