What Ask knows about you
Ask is useful because it knows your week. It is worth knowing exactly what that means.
What it can see
- Your plan: the meals in your week, their ingredients and their nutrition.
- What you did: what you marked as eaten, skipped or eaten out, and what you swapped.
- Your preferences: your diet pattern, allergens, foods you avoid, cooking time, household and portion size.
- Your shopping list, including what you have ticked off.
That is the same information the rest of the app works from. Nothing extra is collected because you used Ask.
Your health details
The health answers you gave at setup, such as your diabetes type, are treated as special-category data and are handled separately. Whether Ask is told them is controlled by Bolus, not left on by default.
Glucose is the same: Ask stays quiet on glucose unless the relevant settings are switched on, and even then it reflects what already happened rather than predicting anything.
What it is never told
- Anything about anyone but you.
- Your payment details. Those live with Apple and Bolus never sees them. See how payment works.
Your conversations
Your thread is yours. If you delete your account, it goes with everything else. See delete your account and what data Bolus collects.
