The weekly review

What your ratings do

Every meal in Bolus carries a thumbs up and a thumbs down. They are the most direct way to change what you get.

What each one does

  • Thumbs up tells Bolus you liked the meal. It becomes more likely to come back.
  • Thumbs down takes the meal out of your plans. Bolus stops planning it.

A meal you have thumbed down still appears if you go looking for it in the swap catalogue, flagged with a note that you said you did not like it. You are choosing for yourself at that point, so Bolus shows it rather than pretending it does not exist.

Rating is not the same as skipping

This is the distinction that matters:

  • Skipping says this did not happen. Life got busy, you ate out, the night changed. It says nothing about the food.
  • Thumbs down says I do not want this food.

Bolus treats them differently on purpose. A good meal you skipped once because you were late home should not disappear from your plans, and it will not.

Where you can rate

  • On the meal card in Today.
  • Inside the meal detail.
  • During the weekly review.
  • By telling Ask, in words.

What it does not do

Ratings shape which meals you are offered. They do not change your nutrition targets, and they are never treated as medical information.
