How Bolus learns

How Bolus learns from your week

Bolus gets more useful the more you use it. Each week feeds the next, so the plan drifts towards food you actually like and cook.

What it learns

  • Meals you like are favoured, so you and similar meals come up more often.
  • Meals you dislike are dropped and do not return.
  • Meals you keep skipping are quietly eased out, on the assumption they are not landing.
  • Your dinners settle towards choices that fit how your evenings actually go.

Breakfasts and weekday lunches that worked tend to carry over, so the parts of the week you do not want to think about stay steady.

What it does not change on its own

Bolus does not quietly change your portions, your household size, or your meal times. Those are yours to set, and they only change when you change them in Settings. Learning is about which meals you get, not those wider settings.

If you have a CGM

With a monitor connected, the Insights tab reflects how your glucose sat around your meals, for you to look over. Bolus shows this as information to reflect on. It is not medical advice, and it does not tell you to change what you eat. You keep making your own decisions with your care team.

The clearest way to guide Bolus is still the simplest: like the meals that work and dislike the ones that do not. See what your ratings do.
